My friend asked me to go to a spa where people had to go completely naked. I didn’t like the idea at all. I prefer at least having swimming suits on. It feels weird and so uncomfortable being clotheless around people. Plus, I go swimming anyway and there are spa and sauna at my gym too. But, at the same time, I was so curious, so I agreed to go with her.
After checking in, we entered the changing room. My friend went there many times, so I just blindly followed her lead. Then, I saw a few men walking around the room in shorts. I was like, “Wow...men and women here even share the changing room too? They are so open-minded”...until one of them waved and shouted at us, “Heyyy, welcome to the men’s world.” It was so embarrassed when the rest of them stopped and looked at us then laughed and shouted cheerfully. We screamed out sorry and ran out of the room as quickly as we could. But at least, it was lucky that I didn’t see anything that was not supposed to be seen.
After that, I’ve been thinking about it and feeling like there was something...not quite right. I agree that we was at fault for entering the wrong room, but why didn’t the men feel embarrassed at all, but us only? Shouldn’t they have screamed and grabbed the towel to cover themselves or hid behind the door just like women did when their privacy invaded? Right?
